1984: Home

Goal of the Paper

The goal of the paper is to analyze the novel and draw connections between it and real-life events, both past and present, in order to further understand the influences impacting Orwell at the time of his writing and realize the prophetic nature of the book.  "Compare/draw connections" can also mean contrast/explain the differences.  The angle you take depends on your thesis statement and what you wish to argue.
