The following activity involves you being creative by using accurate and realistic characterization, voice, and detail from the story. You must choose one option from each of the categories to create an original literary piece that is rooted in the story.  For example:  You can choose to have the role of Fabiola giving a speech to the people of Haiti regarding Identity and the Immigrant Experience and the unattainable American Dream.
 
What you choose is not as important as HOW you execute the finished product.  Points will be awarded for accuracy with respect to the original story. Be creative, have fun, but maintain accuracy and authenticity to the story!

In order to create your RAFT, you will need to do some research first. You must use at least ONE database source and other websites if needed: check credibility.  Begin by downloading the Note-Taking Sheet. You also must provide a Works Cited page using MyBib.com.

TOPICS and Searching Guides: You may use either Haiti or Haitian. AND immigrant or immigration Try different words.
