Monday- Introduction to Civics Project using Nearpod. Define the Civics Terms for homework.
Tuesday- Independently research state, local or national issues using current event worksheet (in Google Classroom).
Wednesday- Share your chosen issue with your group. Your group will select one issue for further research. Share the Civics Google Doc with all group members' names on the document. Divide research responsibilities according to each section of the document. For example: One student can do the root cause section, one student is responsible for the stakeholders section. What solutions already exist, who do you need to contact?
Thursday- Wrap up research and identify who you need to contact. Each student writes a letter according to the provided template.
Friday- Groups choose the best letter to send to their contact person. Note: this may need to be copied and pasted into an online form.
